Beyond camp scholarships
Two assistance paths families often miss
Florida School Readiness
Florida's School Readiness program offers child-care financial assistance to eligible low-income families who are working or participating in education or training. Services can extend through school age, but not every camp is an eligible participating provider.
Ask first: Does the selected summer provider participate, and what copayment or authorization applies?
IRS guidance says some work-related day-camp care may qualify for the Child and Dependent Care Credit. Overnight camp does not qualify. Eligibility depends on federal requirements and individual circumstances.
